Cadence R. Jones, 8, of New Castle passed away tragically Saturday evening, June 23, 2018, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Cadence was born April 20, 2010, in New Castle, a daughter of Cynthia "Chanet" Clark.

She attended the Harry W. Lockley Early Learning Center, New Castle, where she had just completed the 1st grade.

Cadence was of the Christian Faith.

She enjoyed listening to music, cheerleading, and making "Slime" with her friends. Cadence loved posing for photos and spending time with her family. The energy and love she brought to the world will never be forgotten.

She is survived by: her mother, Chanet Clark and her boyfriend, Jeffrey Hooks, New Castle; a sister, Madison Jones, New Castle; maternal grandparents, Pamela Kelley and Eugene Clark, Sr., both of New Castle; three aunts, Lelia Clark, Warren, Oh., Lisa (Mason) Painter, Andover, Oh., and Barri Clark, Youngstown, Oh.; an uncle, Robert Clark, New Castle; and two special cousins, A'mya Clark and Alaya Comedy, whom were like sisters. Also surviving are a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends whom were dearly loved by Cadence.

Cadence was preceded in death by her brother, Octavius Stone; and her great grandparents, Sally and Joe Callahan.

Memorial donations may be made directly to the family.

Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

The funeral service will be held privately.
