Obituary

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday for Bridget Pacifico Ser Mitrovich, South Pymatuning Twp., formerly of Tamplin St. Sharon, who passed away peacefully of natural causes at 3:50 p.m. Monday (2-15-16) at her residence. She was 92.

She was born August 23, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pa., one of five children born to Dan and Mary Elizabeth Valentino Pacifico. She was raised in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School in 1941.

Bridget worked at Packard Electric, Warren, Ohio and retired in 1973.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Sharon where she volunteered at church fundraisers, bake sales, and where she belonged to several card clubs and prayer groups.

She was a member of the ladies auxiliaries at both the North Sharon Fire Hall and at what is now St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.

She was also a volunteer with her husbands church, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Hermitage.

In her spare time she loved watching baseball and football and her favorite teams were the Cleveland Indians, and Pittsburgh Steelers. She attended her last Indians game in Cleveland with her two sons at the age of 83.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Joseph Ser, and her second husband Nick Mitrovich whom she married on March 17, 1973, he passed away October 22, 1992.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Ser and his companion, Linda Langley, Hubbard, OH, and Daniel Ser and his companion, Diana DeJulia Bougher, South Pymatuning Twp., two brothers, Pat Pacifico, Sharon, and Don Pacifico, Reynolds, four grandchildren, Michael Ser and his companion Saara, New York, Mary Bess Ser and her spouse Lisa Tschaen, Illinois, Carrie Martin and her husband Jason, Florida, and Salena Ser and her companion Tom, Ohio, four great grandchildren, Owen and Maxwell Martin, Florida, and Lucy and Effram Tschaen, Illinois.

In addition to her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Margaret Weldon and Venza Petricini, and a granddaughter, Chasten Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in her memory to please consider St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (2-19-16) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (2-20-16) in Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Henry C. Andrae, pastor as celebrant. A procession to the church will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
