Brenda Roberts Bruno of Hermitage passed away
Sunday
afternoon, May 8, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was 52.
Brenda was born October 12, 1963, in Sharon, a daughter of James L. and Aneita Dunn Roberts.
A graduate of the former St. Joseph Parochial Grade School, Sharon, she was a 1982 alumna of Kennedy Christian High School, Hermitage, and earned an associate degree in respiratory therapy from Youngstown State University.
Brenda was a respiratory therapist at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Youngstown, for more than twenty years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
A loving wife, mother and daughter, Brenda's family was the most important aspect of her life. She was active in the PTO at St. Joseph school when her children attended and later served as a homeroom mother in the Hickory Middle School.
She enjoyed attending her children's scholastic and athletic events, including soccer games and dance recitals, and spending time with her dog, Henry.
She also volunteered with many of her friends to help others who were experiencing health issues.
Surviving are: her husband of twenty years, Gregory M. Bruno; three children, Zachery M. Bruno, a senior at Hickory High School; Alexa Marie Bruno, a 9
th
grade student at Hickory High School; and Jacob J. Bruno, a 6
th
grade student in Hickory Middle School; her father, Jim Roberts, Sharpsville; a sister, Monica Buchanon and her husband Tony, Denver, CO; two brothers, Brian Roberts, Edenton, NC; and Dr. Michael Roberts and his wife Dr. Angela Roberts, Howland, OH; her father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Patricia Bruno, Hermitage; a sister-in-law, Danielle Black and her husband Eric, Cortland, OH; her husband's aunt and a special person in Brenda's life, Barbara Dascenzo, Cortland, OH; and cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Brenda's family would like to thank the Shenango Valley Soccer Club and Brenda's Brigade for their overwhelming support.

Mass of Christian burial will be at

in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
