Obituary

Bonnie Lee (Kreitzer) Mong, 62, of Neshannock Twp. passed away following a brief illness Monday evening, November 25, 2024, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless, PA.

Mrs. Mong was born October 5, 1962, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Patricia (Taylor) Kreitzer, and graduated from Shenango High School in 1980.

A homemaker, Bonnie dedicated her life to caring for her family and actively supported all of her children's passions and activities.

Bonnie loved people and did everything she could to help others, especially her family. She was often the life of the conversation and was great at telling stories. Bonnie loved organizing events and bringing people together. She looked forward to attending her son, Devin's, concerts at Westminster College, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, Niko and Emma.

She also enjoyed traveling to the Western United States for annual vacations and was active in the Tri-County Metal Detecting Club.

Her husband, Norbert Mong, whom she married September 18, 1998, survives at home.

Bonnie is also survived by two sons, Devin Mong and Ronnie Nocera, both of New Castle; a stepdaughter, Maureen Edmiston (Matthew), Wampum; two grandchildren, Niko Nocera and Emma Edmiston; six brothers, Dan Kreitzer (Carol), of Kissimmee, FL, Tim Kreitzer (Joyce) and Fred Kreitzer (Sherrie), all of New Castle, Dave Kreitzer, of Portersville, and Eric Kreitzer (Carrie) and Doug Kreitzer (Amy), all of New Castle; three sisters, Cindy Kreitzer, of Rochester, PA, Lisa Barber (Bob), Mt. Jackson, PA, and Lyndora Conti, of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Kreitzer.

Bonnie was a light that will be truly missed.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday (12-5-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle, PA.

A funeral service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment: Graceland Cemetery, Neshannock Township.
