IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie Jean
Kloss
August 8, 1955 – December 22, 2024
Bonnie Jean Kloss, 69, of Canfield, formerly of Hermitage, became a Christmas angel on Sunday evening, December 22, at home while holding her son's hand.
Born on August 8, 1955, in Sharon, she was the youngest of seven children to Peter and Edna (Brucker) Bulick.
Bonnie attended Hickory High School in Hermitage. Soon after, she met her soulmate and loving husband, Raymond Allen Kloss. They married on February 12, 1978, sharing 37 wonderful years together until his passing on March 9, 2015.
Her career spanned 21 years at Sharon Regional School of Nursing, where she began in the library and retired as front office secretary in 2012. Bonnie adored all the nursing students over the years.
Bonnie's passion for homemaking, especially cooking, was her signature – a skill cultivated as a teen working in the kitchens of Sharon Eagles Club and Shenango Inn.
A true creative, Bonnie embraced life with a Bohemian spirit. She had a talent for making everything more beautiful – through her unique style, singing, or the woodcraft business she ran alongside her husband. She meticulously hand-painted her husband's woodcrafts into treasures. She also loved singing, winning several vocal contests by performing with live bands in her youth.
Holidays were also Bonnie's stage, where her creativity and love shone brightest, especially at Christmas – which she loved. From hand-made wreaths to festive feasts, she transformed each holiday into a magical memory.
Following her husband's passing, she found strength in her only child and best friend, Nicholas Allen Kloss – her greatest joy and devoted caregiver. Together they shared his home and a sense of humor. No matter what they were doing – her favorites were beach trips, singing along to Adele and Pharrell Williams, and getting what she called, "retail therapy" - Bonnie and Nick were an inseparable duo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was welcomed into eternity by her in-laws, Charles Sr. and Susan (Haun) Kloss; a brother, Peter Michael Bulick; and a sister, Nancy Brush.
Aside from her son, Bonnie is survived by her Godchildren and nieces, Melissa Egelsky, of Lorton, VA, and Michaelene "Mikey" Egelsky, of Sharpsville; two brothers, Charles Bulick, of Sharpsville, and Robert Bulick (Cynthia), of Sharon; two sisters, Christine Karsonovich (Jerome), of Sharon, and Judith Davis, of West Middlesex; and many nieces and nephews.
She also leaves her friend, Caitlin Dimuzio, of Boardman, whose companionship, assistance at home, and help to decorate for Christmas brought her joy during the final stage of illness.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, online at: stjude.org/donate.
"Cardinals appear when angels are near… Our beautiful Bonnie gained her angel wings, bringing her light to the season in an everlasting way. She truly became a Christmas angel."
