Bonnie Lou Haines of Sharpsville passed away at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, OH. She was 81.
Mrs. Haines was born April 27, 1935, in Sharon, a daughter of Raymond T. and Bertha Ferguson Cummings. She graduated from Sharpsville High School.
Bonnie was a former member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
She was a homemaker and later retired from Sharon School District, where she worked in the cafeteria for 17 years. Bonnie bowled in the Thorton Hall bowling league. She also enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with her grandson.
Surviving are: her husband Frederick Haines, whom she married on February 19, 1955; a daughter, Carol Sue Lelo and her husband Brian, Durango, CO; a son, Frederick R. Haines, Sharpsville; a grandson, Michael Haines; three sisters, Katherine Christina, Hermitage; Jean Williams and her husband Benjamin, Hubbard, OH; and Janet Cummings, Hubbard, OH; a brother, Joseph Cummings and his wife Jan, Mercer.
Bonnie was preceded in death by two infant sons; a daughter in law, Linda Haines; sister, MaryAnn Barris; and a brother, William Cummings.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Buhl Farm Trust, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, Pa 16148.
Calling hours will be from 2 pm until the time of the service Sunday, March 5, 2017 , in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
Memorial service will be 4 pm Sunday , in the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.
