Blanche Cwynar

Blanche "Billie" (Bondarenko) Cwynar, 91, of Transfer, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, in UPMC Horizon Hospital.

Mrs. Cwynar was born October 10, 1934, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Boleslaw "Bill" and Rose Marie (Sandrovich) Bondarenko.

Billie retired from the Badger School District after 30 years of teaching.

She enjoyed traveling around the world and playing cards and games.

She is survived by a son, Alexander J. Cwynar Jr.; two daughters, Lynne Brednahan and her husband, Dave; and Lisa Soldo-Savioli and her husband, Joe; step daughter, Louann Nelson and her husband, Mike; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander J. Cwynar; a fiancé, John Pepe; a brother, George Bondarenko; and two sisters, Helen Leishman and Rosemary "Dolly" McCarl and her husband, Joe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday (09/24/2026) in the church, with Rev. John Miller, pastor, as celebrant.
