Verenski
June 9, 1935 – January 29, 2025
Beverly Ann Verenski, 89, of Union Twp., passed away Wednesday evening, January 29, 2025, in the Haven Convalescent Home.
Mrs. Verenski was born June 9, 1935, Boyers, PA, a daughter of the late Roy and Glenda (Liddell) McGinnis, and was a 1953 graduate of New Wilmington High School.
For 22 years, she worked in the Human Resource Department at Rockwell International in New Castle.
Beverly was a member of Grace United Methodist in Neshannock Twp, and was previously a member of Wesley Methodist Church in New Castle.
An exceptional cook, she enjoyed making pierogies and baking pies for family and friends. Beverly was also an avid bowler who truly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 68 years, Stanley C. Verenski, whom she married on December 29, 1956, survives at home.
Beverly is also survived by a son, Doug Verenski (Christy), Enon Valley, PA; a daughter, Lori Pitzer (Jay), Canfield, OH; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wolfe (Chazz), Hunter Verenski, Joseph Pitzer, Ryan Pitzer (Sheradyn), and Jacob Pitzer (Samantha); and four great-grandchildren, Adaline and Loic Wolfe, and Kinley and Rylynn Pitzer.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and William McGinnis; and two sisters, Lorraine Saroka and Patricia Anthony.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday (2-3-25) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.
A funeral service will immediately follow at noon, in the funeral home, with Pastor Bill LaVelle, officiating.
Interment will be in Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington.
