Obituary

Beverly Jean Chandler, 85 of Sharon passed away peacefully at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Chandler was born December 16, 1932, in Farrell, a daughter of Lloyd "Sailor" and Helen (Campbell) Tennant. She was a 1950 graduate of Farrell High School.

A homemaker, Beverly also was employed as a clerk at the former G.C. Murphy's in downtown Sharon until its closing. Later, she worked several years as a clerk at the Golden Dawn, Farrell.

She was a former member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Hermitage. She cherished her family time and loved being a grandmother.

Beverly met her husband, David A. Chandler while he was stationed in Vienna, OH, with the US Airforce. They married on August 27, 1955, in First Methodist Church, Farrell. He passed away on June 30, 2017.

She is survived by a daughter, Terry Evans and her husband Joe; a son David Chandler, all of Sharon; and two grandchildren, Caly and Jack Evans.

In addition to her husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Betty (Phil) Disko, Peggy (Henry) Napierkoski and Audrey (Jay) Lanshack; and two brothers, Chuck (Connie) Tennant and Fred (Marge) Tennant.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County, 109 S. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.

In keeping with Beverly's wishes, she donated her body to science. There are no calling hours or service.
