Betty M. Schuster, 91, formerly of Wheatland, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019, in Continuing Healthcare of Niles.

Mrs. Schuster was born May 1, 1927, in Sharon, a daughter of the late William and Edith (Alltop) Stafford. She was a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School.

An exceptional homemaker, Betty dedicated her life to caring for her family and their home. After raising her children, she worked as a waitress at Perkins Pancake House in Hermitage, and for the former Schuster's Dairy in Wheatland.

Betty was a former member of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, Wheatland.

She liked to be outdoors, whether it was mowing grass, planting flowers or tending her garden. Betty also enjoyed watching tv, taking care of her grandchildren and "playing numbers."

Her husband, Henry Robert Schuster, whom she married June 29, 1946, passed away October 25, 1977.

She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Treater and her husband Guy, of Girard, OH; a son, Robert Henry Schuster and his wife Joyce, of Sharon; five grandchildren, Kelly (George) Burnett, Allison and Molly Schuster, Adam (Jessica) Schuster, and Stacy (Jamie) Griffith; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, James Stafford and his wife Shirley, of Sharpsville; and a brother-in-law, James Butala, of Wheatland.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Edythe Butala, and a brother, William Stafford.

Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the time of service Thursday (03/28/2019) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home, with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
