Betty J. Munnal of Sharon passed away unexpectedly at 8:51 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 76.

Mrs. Munnal was born May 12, 1941, in Orangeville, OH, a daughter of Joseph and Hilda Seidle Hougelman. She attended Joseph Badger High School, Kinsman, OH.

Betty was a homemaker and dedicated her entire life to taking care of her family. An avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, she also enjoyed playing video games, collecting dolls and doing crafts, particularly painting ceramics and knitting.

Betty adored her four parrots and two dogs. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her husband, Norman R. Munnal, Sr., whom she married July 1, 1978, passed away October 22, 2010.

Surviving are: two daughters, Laurie Blevins, Masury, OH; and Rhonda Colson and her husband Jon, Spokane, WA; four sons, Joseph Creed, Hermitage; Norman R. Munnal, Jr., Sharon; David W. Munnal, Hermitage; and Shawn R. Munnal, Sharon; two sisters, Judy Davies, Orangeville, OH; and Beverly Griffiths, Cortland, OH; eight grandchildren, Sonya, Ervin and William Frantz; David and Daniel Sanders; Christine (Andy) Armagost; Margaret Myers; and Jennifer (Ronnie) Joy; and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday ( 7-10-17 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday , in the funeral home, with Rev. John Trojak, pastor of First Baptist Church, Sharon, officiating.

Interment: Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
