Betty Ann "B.A." Krapacs of Sharon, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 12:06 p.m. in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was 62.
Betty was born in Sharon on August 25, 1953, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Agnes Kocis Krapacs.
She was a 1971 graduate of Brookfield High School.
She retired after 31 years of employment as a cook at Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital. Earlier in life, Betty was employed at John Schuster's Restaurant and Cy's Airport Inn.
Ms. Krapacs was a former member of Sacred Heart Church. She found enjoyment sewing, crocheting, knitting, and reading cook books. Neighborhood kids always gathered at her home for treats and assist her in various activities around the house. During Halloween she was known as "The Costume Lady" for designing and crafting costumes for kids in the neighborhood.
Betty is survived by 3 siblings, Michael Krapacs of Masury, Ambrose (Janice) Krapacs of Warren, and Theresa Krapacs of Masury; 4 nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Tom) Donoghue, Ambrose Krapacs, Ashley Krapacs, and Ryan Krapacs; 2 great nieces, Alexandra and Danika Donoghue, whom she loved spending time with.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Betty's request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, with Rev. Henry Andrae, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Sharon.
Internment will take place on Brookfield Twp. Cemetery.
