Obituary
Betty Lou Elsie Kirk, 25 South St., Box 111,West Middlesex, Pa., formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday (1-06-10) in MedCare Health System's Mansfield Hospital. She was 74.
Mrs. Kirk was born on February 24, 1935 in Mansfield, the daughter of Otto and Elsie Bailey Staninger.
She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1953.
Betty Lou's life was centered around her church, Apostolic Christian Church in Sharon where her husband serves as pastor and where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes and the Ladies Bible Study class.
A homemaker, she was a member of the homemakers club, West Middlesex.
Her husband of 52 years, Lester Kirk Jr. whom she married on February 22, 1958 survives home.
She also leaves her four daughters, Lori S. Padden and her husband Ed, Naples FL, Lisa L. O'Keefe and her husband Brian, Estero, FL, Kelly R. Marenchin and her husband Stasey, Hermitage, Leslie A. Evans, Henderson, NV; two sons, Kevin J. Kirk, Pulaski, and Kris J. Kirk and his wife Gina, West Middlesex; a sister Nancy Hearing, her mother in law, Margaret J. Kirk, and a special niece Sue Rice, all of Mansfield. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jason M. Rosario, Rachael A. Kirk, Brett A. and Brandon J. Kirk, Tyler K. Evans, and a step grandson Myles W. O'Keefe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew Steve Hearing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Apostolic Christian Church 664 Cedar Ave, PA 16146 Sharon.

There will be a funeral service on Monday (1-11-10) at 2 p.m. in the Ontario Christian Fellowship Church 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield, OH.
Interment: Mansfield Memorial Park, Mansfield, Ohio.
