Obituary
Betty J. DeCarbo, 87, of Clen-Moore Place passed away at her residence on Saturday evening May 28, 2016.
Betty was born on September 13, 1928 in New Castle to the late Frank and Mary Wilma Patterson Nicholson.
She was a 1946 graduate of New Castle High School.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Nick DeCarbo on February 6, 2012. She will be remembered as loving wife and homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren.
She enjoy planting her vegetable and floral gardens, was an avid card player and loved animals.
Betty is survived by three daughters; Vicki Antonio and her husband James of New Castle, Robin Lombardo of Fountain Valley, CA and Lynn Reiber and her husband Edward of New Castle.; a son Edwin W. DeCarbo and his wife Carol of New Castle; a brother Gerald Nicholson and his wife Pauline of Melbourne, FL.; Eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; 2 Step grandchildren and 5 Step great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers; Leo and Dave Nicholson; two sisters, Dorothy Angelton and Carol Martindill; one granddaughter and one step grandson.
In keeping with Betty's wishes, a private Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church. Burial is in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty' name to the American Cancer society, 3208 Wilmington Rd. Suite B New Castle, PA 16105 or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eight Ave. NY, NY. 10001.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St.
