Bertha E. Chaffee, 87, formerly of Neshannock Twp., passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, in Avalon Nursing Home, New Castle.

Mrs. Chaffee was born April 16, 1931, in Roslyn, New York, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan. She was raised in Roslyn, NY, and attended Roslyn High School.

A homemaker, Bertha devoted her life to caring for her family and their home.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Bertha enjoyed planting flowers, taking walks and going on vacation. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her beloved husband, Wayne L. Chaffee, preceded her in death December 12, 2003.

Surviving are: a daughter, Amy E. Chaffee, Edinburg; two sons, Mike E. (Frances) Chaffee, Fla., and James T. Chaffee, Pulaski; a daughter-in-law, Linda Chaffee, Sandy Lake; a brother, Bob Sullivan; eight grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Wayne B. And David L. Chaffee; an infant grandson, Lucas Chaffee; and three sisters, Edie, Ellen and Flow.

All services will be held privately.

Interment: Castle View Memorial Gardens, New Castle.
