Services will be Wednesday for Barbara A. Meyer, Whispering Oaks, Hermitage, who passed away of natural causes at 10:10 a.m. Friday (2-20-15) in her residence. She was 85. Barbara was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Sharon, a daughter of Harry and Ann McNally Wiesen. A registered nurse, she graduated from the former Christian H. Buhl School of Nursing. She worked in many capacities for what was then Sharon General Hospital and retired as the assistant director of nursing with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. Her first husband, Raymond J. Deneen, passed away on Oct. 18, 1969. Her second husband, Don J. Meyer, whom she married July 7, 1972, passed away August 2, 2002. She is survived by three daughters, Beth A. Deneen, Clark; Ellen Steklachich and her husband James, Sharpsville; and Amy Meyer, Transfer; two sons, Sean M. Deneen and his wife Charleen, Cranberry Township; and Timothy J. Deneen, Jackson Center; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her two husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joni Alford.
