Barbara Jean (Gutowski) Kane, 79, of Sharon, passed away with her daughter by her side on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Kane was born on December 23, 1945, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Remp) Gutowski. She was a 1963 graduate of Sharon High School.

A hairdresser, she was previously the owner of American Hair, Hermitage. Later, she worked as an office manager at Dr. Greenburg's office at Sharon Community Health.

A wonderful mother, Barb, always put her children first. She had a deep love for her family and was always there to listen and talk to. She was also a great cook who never needed a recipe. She prepared the best Christmas brunch with amazing quiche and fudge.

Barb also enjoyed making crafts and going to casinos.

She is survived by four children, Charles Graef (Rebecca), of Dover, TN, Michelle Chlpka (Alan), of Hermitage, Kim Hartmann (Vincent), of McFarland, WI, and Brian Kane (Julie), Whitter, NC; nine grandchildren, Adam Chlpka, Kayli Howard (Anthony), Sarah Chlpka, Amanda and Olivia Graef, Heidi and Allison Hartmann, and Iris and Aven Jacobson-Kane.

The family would like to thank Clepper Manor and staff for all the wonderful care over the last several years.
