Barbara Ann Anderson, Sharon, passed away of natural causes at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday (3-30-2016) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. She was 78.

She was born March 28, 1938 in Sharon, the daughter of Oliver and Alberta McGilvray Ehrhart.

A lifelong area resident, she attended Sharon Schools.

Mrs. Anderson worked for the Sharon Schools District as a "Lunch Lady "in the school cafeteria, she was loved by many students throughout her tenure.

She was a homemaker who loved her work, she was the best mother and grandmother anyone could have. Her greatest joy was found while spending time with her children and grandchildren and she rarely missed any school related activities over the years.

She loved to travel to special destinations especially Connecticut to visit her brother.

Her husband Robert D. Anderson who she married July 14, 1956, survives at home.

She also leaves her two daughters, Cynthia Leyde, and Tamara Kitch and her husband Joel, all of Sharon, two sons, Robert Anderson, also of Sharon, and Scott Anderson and his wife Emma, Hermitage, four sisters, Janice Vadala, Suzanne Emery and her husband Jim, Mary Jane Stull, all of Sharpsville, and Melanie Powers, Masury, Ohio, four brothers, Allan John Ehrhart and his wife Carol, Ledyard, CT, Dennis Ehrhart and his wife Pat, Sharon, William Ehrhart and his wife Sherry, Farrell, and Richard Ehrhart and his wife Jackie, Hermitage. She leaves her 12 grandchildren, Dave (Nikki) Leyde, Patrick (Brittney) Leyde, Erin (Joe) Hassan, Grace, Ellen, and Zac Anderson, Ian and Nathan Cione, Ava Kitch, and Hannah, Josh, and Madison Anderson, Josephine and Alex Compeau and 6 great grandchildren, Emily, Jenna, and Maggie Leyde, Joey and Sammy Hassan, and Maddie Morosky.

Calling hours: 6:00 until the time of service on Friday ( 4-1-16 ) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: A funeral service will be held Friday ( 4-1-16 ) at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of IHS Gospel Ministries officiating.
