Obituary
Aurelia "Raya" Bissett, 78, of Edinburg passed away at her home on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Raya as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Farrell, PA on September 2, 1937 to the late Stephen and Marie Nestor Andrusky.
She was a 1955 graduate of New Castle High School. Raya married George A. Bissett on July 17, 1960 and he survives her at home.
She was a member of Mahoning Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon for many years and took great pride in creating the floral arrangements for the church alter.
Raya was a gifted artist and took pleasure in creating oil painting and ceramic wares.
She enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards at the Mahoning Valley Trap League.
Her greatest joy was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Preceding her in death besides her parents is a son, Wade E. Bissett and Two brothers, Donald Andrusky and Stephen Andrusky Jr.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday (08-16-16) at J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday (08-17-16) at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Larry Myers.
