August Paul DiClaudio, 74, of Sharon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. DiClaudio was born on March 24, 1952, in Sharon, the son of Manuel and Marion (Germano) DiClaudio. August was the devoted father of two daughters he loved dearly, Erica Grove (Matthew), of Sharon, and Elizabeth “Boo Bear” Diclaudio (Brian Jackson), with whom he shared an especially unbreakable bond. He was the proud grandfather of Emily Jervis and Lydia Grove.

Augie was preceded in death by the one and only love of his life, Cynthia (Wareham) DiClaudio. Together, they shared a deep love for dancing, playing chess and cards, and taking family trips, especially to Geneva on the Lake and Nashville, TN, creating countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew them. He was also preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, infant Faye Marie, and Elaine, Paulette, Anthony, and Frank.

From a young age, he was known for his determination and skill. As a teenager, he worked on Volkswagens in his garage, already showing the talent and work ethic that would define his life. He carried that dedication into a lifelong career, working at the Sharon American Legion, National Castings, Liquid Air, and Hickory Refrigeration, and several steel mills, before eventually building his own Heating and Cooling business. Augie enjoyed supporting many others in their entrepreneurial endeavors with any mentoring or assistance he could offer. He was a strong, hardworking man who could always fix things—or find a way to.

Augie was an avid fisherman and hunter; his favorite places were Henderson, PA, Kennerdell, PA, and all around the Shenango Reservoir. In his younger years, Augie was a standout track star at Sharon High School, running the 100-yard dash in an impressive 10.1 seconds. He had a gift for storytelling, and his stories and memories—shared right up until his final moments—will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Augie is also survived by his sister, Pamela Monteson (Robert); his beloved aunt, Helen; several nieces and nephews; his “bonus daughters;” and several “bonus grandchildren.”

His life was defined by resilience and dedication, both to his work and family. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services.
