Funeral will be Friday for Arvilla Mae Heben, Hasenflu Drive, Hermitage, who passed away peacefully of natural causes at 8:32 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. She was 92. She was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Orangeville, one of five children born to Ray C. and Goldie Mae Swegert Bartholomew. She graduated from Vernon (Ohio) High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corpn. A homemaker, she also worked for six years at the former Sharon Store as a sales clerk. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Hermitage. Mrs. Heben donated countless hours for Sharon Regional Health System Auxiliary. She also was a member and past president of Masury Mothers Club. While raising her two sons, she was active with both Hickory Little League and the Hickory Midget Football program and Hickory High School football mothers. She is survived by: her two sons, Martin R. Heben and his wife Victoria, Hermitage; and Ronald A. Heben and his wife Sandra E., Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred Livingston, New Castle; and Olive Ball, Grove City; a brother, Raymond C. Bartholomew, Florida; her grandchildren, Martin Ronald Heben, Amy Lynn Heben, Kelly Diane Burns and Daniel A. Heben; and her great-granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Matney. Mrs. Heben was preceded in death by: her daughter, Sharon Lynn Heben; her sister Donna Mae Broadwater; and two brothers, Samuel and Carl Bartholomew.
