Arthur Fredrick Spindler, 433 Wengler Ave., Sharon, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (6-30-10) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 76.
Mr. Spindler was born August 15, 1933 in Bucks County, PA a son of the late Henry and Margaret Katherine Blystone Spindler.
He was a 1953 graduate of Mercer High School.
Art was employed at the former Strauss' warehouse for fourteen years and was the warehouse manager at the former Willson's Furniture, both Sharon, for 25 years. He retired in August of 2004 from Riverview Manor, Sharon, where he was the building supervisor for 7 years.
He attended Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, Sharon. Art was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He also loved to travel and visit his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Sandra Leisure Finnimore, whom he married March 7, 1987; two daughters, Vickie McIntyre and her husband Michael, Columbia, South Carolina; and Patricia Spindler, Sharon; a son, Arthur Spindler and his wife Reyna, El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren, Marcus, Kara and Charles McIntyre; and Nicole Spindler; his former wife, Doris Haag, Farrell; two sisters, Ann Cooper, Hadley, PA; and Edith Davis, Grove City, PA; and his companion cats, Cinder and Angel.
Besides his parents, Art was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Spindler.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, 192 N. Oakland Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (7-3-10) in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard N. Carlson, pastor of the Oakland Ave. United Methodist Church, Sharon, officiating.
