Arnold 'John' Johnson of 400 Curtis St. Sharon, PA passed away on Thursday November 10, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was 64.
He was born on January 3, 1947 in Mason City, IA the son of Orval and Marie Allen Johnson.
Arnold was a graduate of Grove City High School; following high school he attended classes at Penn State Shenango Campus.
Mr. Johnson served in the Military Police Division during the Vietnam Conflict in the United State Air Force.
He was of Protestant faith. Arnold was a member of the Sharon American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed hunting, and walking his dog Sammy. Toni and Arnold loved spending time together while fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Wlodarski Johnson, whom he married July 20, 1990; a daughter, Tiffany Johnson of Sharon; a son, Aaron Johnson of Sharpsville; 2 sisters, Anita and her husband Robert Holmes of Grove City, and Darla and her husband Byron Lippe of Charleston, WV; 1 brother, Joseph and his wife Holly Slonka of Grove City; 1 step-brother Robert and his wife Patricia Slonka of Lillington, NC; 1 grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father Orval Johnson and his mother, Marie Slonka; a step father Joseph J. Slonka; a son, Richard Johnson; a sister, Leah Ann Johnson; a brother Richard Johnson.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dominic Verdell, Associate Pastor of Grace Chapel Community Church.
Interment will follow in Westside Cemetery.
