Obituary

Arlene J. Rzepka, 87, of Hermitage passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, August 6, 2024, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.


Born December 4, 1936, in Sharon, Arlene was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Timko) Rzepka and graduated from Sharon High School in 1955.


She worked as a payroll accountant, first for Westinghouse in Sharon, and later in the same capacity for Romain Accounting, Michaelene's Day Spa, and Shawnee Optical. Additionally, she filed tax returns for family friends and local businesses.


Arlene was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and previously a longtime member of St. Adalbert's Church, Farrell.


An animal lover, she also had a passion for traveling, especially to her favorite destinations: New York City, Disney World, and Alaska. Arlene also loved watching her great-nephew's baseball and hockey games.


Arlene is survived by two nephews, Mark Multari (Michelle), and Jon Multari (Traci), all of Hermitage; a great-nephew whom she helped raise, Santino Multari; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Multari, Sharpsville; and a cousin, Ruth Pettey (Glenn), Farrell.


In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Multari.


In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.


Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday (8-10-24) in the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, with Rev. John Miller, as celebrant.


Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
