April L. Truchan

April L. Truchan, 66, of West Middlesex, passed away Friday morning, April 10, 2026, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Truchan was born March 23, 1960, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Earl and Betty (Shelito) Brauchle. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Hickory High School, Hermitage.

For many years, she worked alongside her sister-in-law, Debbie, as a cook and server for Truchan’s Catering.

April was a dedicated wife, caring mother, and adoring grandmother who cherished the time she was able to spend with grandkids.

Her husband of 35 years, Gary M. Truchan, whom she married December 30, 1991, survives at home.

April is also survived by a daughter, Marie Vaquera (Mario), of Hubbard, OH; a son, Cody Truchan (Christine), of Reynolds, PA; four grandchildren, Maddox and Milo Vaquera, and Harmony and Liam Truchan.

In addition to her parents, April was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Brauchle.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
