Antoinette M. 'Toni' Williams, 149 Case Ave., Sharon, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday (4-6-11) in her home, after an extended illness. She was 56.
Mrs. Williams was born February 12, 1952 in Sharon a daughter of the late William and Theresa Daniello Donato.
Toni attended St. Joseph Parochial Grade School; was a 1970 graduate of Sharon High School; and earned a bachelors degree in Education from Clarion (PA) State University.
She was a substitute teacher in the Sharon City School District for a couple of years before becoming an elementary grade school teacher at the former Our Lady of Fatima Parochial Grade School, Farrell. Toni taught at Our Lady of Fatima for eight years before starting her family.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, where she was a former Eucharistic Minister and a member of its Women's Guild. Toni was extremely devoted to her children and their scholastic and athletic endeavors. She coached the girl's slow-pitch softball team in Sharon and was an officer and treasurer of the Sharon High School Softball Boosters. She also volunteered with the Sharon American Little League and Senior League and was active in the Sharon Schools PTA. Toni was part of the 'Buhl Park Family' where she enjoyed walking and jogging daily with her friends. She was a member of the Buhl Community Recreation Center in Sharon and, years earlier, a hospice volunteer. Toni was kind and loving and cared deeply about others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: her husband at home, John K. Williams, CPA, whom she married October 22, 1977 in St. Joseph Church, Sharon; a son, Zachary J. Williams, a 2008 graduate of Penn State University, Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Emily T. Williams, a student at Penn State University, State College, PA; two brothers, William Donato, Liberty, Ohio; and Michael Donato and his wife Karen, Sharon. She also leaves many brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Helen Williams.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148; or Buhl Community Recreation Center, 28 Pine St., Sharon, PA 16146.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday (4-11-11) in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
