Antoinette Prelee of 339 E. Jamestown Rd. Greenville. Formerly of Sharon, PA passed away at 12:01 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was 81.
Mrs. Prelee was born in Sharon, PA on September 14, 1927, a daughter of Dominic and Celestine (Pala) Piciacchio.
Antoinette was a 1945 graduate of Farrell High School.
Mrs. Prelee worked for Reyers Shoe Store in Sharon, PA as a sales clerk for over 25 years. Prior to working for Reyers, she worked for her brother as a sales clerk at Louis Jewelers in Farrell for 20 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Antoinette also enjoyed playing bingo, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, Harry F. Prelee, whom she married June 5, 1947, passed away July 31, 1960.
Survivors include: a son, Daniel and his wife Betsy Prelee of Willoughby, OH; a daughter Linda A. Mills of Masury, OH; 4 grandchildren, Matthew and John Prelee and Michael and his wife Lisa and Jeffrey and his wife Precious Kaiser; 7 great grandchildren, Jared, Ashleigh, Zachary, Tyler, Kassidy, Michael, and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; 3 brothers, Isadore, Louis (her twin), and Mario Piciacchio.
To respect Antoinette's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Fr. Henry Andrae. Funeral arrangements were handled by the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
