Anthony "Tony" J. Tamber of Sharpsville passed away at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after a period of declining health.
He was 75.
Mr. Tamber was born December 5, 1940, in Farrell, a son of Joseph and Margaret Incerto Tamber.
He was a 1958 graduate of Farrell High School and attended Penn State University, Shenango Valley campus.
Tony was a shipping foreman at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant where he was employed for nearly 30 years until the plants closing.
He was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon.
Tony was honored as an outstanding member of the Shenango Valley Jaycees where he served as vice president; was a past president of Notre Dame Parochial Grade School Boosters; and a former member of the Kennedy Catholic High School Boosters and the Farrell Lions Club.
He was a founding board member of Pet Solutions in Grove City and an active volunteer since 2001.
He loved traveling, particularly to Florida where he spent the winter months, and enjoyed music and technology.
Tony's passion, however, was dancing.
An avid dancer, he was a line dancing instructor and taught at various locations throughout the area.
He belonged to the Wise Guys N Gals dance team at the YMCA in Hermitage and performed with the Shenango Valley Senior Follies every year since its inception.

He was dearly loved and will be remembered by many as a man who enjoyed life.
Surviving are: a daughter, Jennifer E. Schofield, Hermitage; two sons, Ronald Tamber, Virginia; and Christopher Tamber, Florida; a sister, Rita Brown, Hermitage; a brother, Ronald Tamber and his wife Madge, Mercer; a granddaughter, Ashley Tamber; two grandsons, Evan and Noah Schofield; loving nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Andrew Arendas.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents.
