Anthony Gabriele, of Sharon, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2026, in Embassy Nursing Home in Hermitage. He was 86.
Tony, as he was known to everyone throughout the Shenango Valley, was born in Farrell, PA, on December 16th, 1939. A son of Emidio and Maria (Sarcinella) Gabriele, Tony graduated from Farrell High School in 1957 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Upon discharge, Mr. Gabriele began working at Silver Street Tire and Automotive as a front-end/alignment mechanic, where he worked until 1991.
In 1991, he became a co-owner of Arrow Automotive located on Sharpsville Avenue in Sharon, where he would work until his retirement in 2016. He built his long-lasting reputation in the Shenango Valley on being honest and straightforward with his customers, and when asked, would say, “I feel good knowing people trust me with something important, so I owe it to them to always be fair and honest.”
In his spare time, Tony enjoyed fishing, playing country music with his life-long friend Larry Gourley, and going to various casinos. Over the years, he was a member of various country music associations in the area.
Throughout his daily life, Tony could always be heard saying “You Got That Right” or “You Better Believe It” among other quick-witted catch phrases.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Downie) Gabriele, who passed away in August of 2012; a son, Jody Gabriele; his parents, Emidio and Maria (Sarcinella) Gabriele; a sister, Theresa (Walsh) Gabriele; a brother, Emil Gabriele; and two infant brothers, Philip and Arthur Gabriele.
He is survived by his son, Anthony W. (Renee) Gabriele, of Neshannock Township, PA; and a sister, Rose (Gabriele) Kustelega, of West Middlesex, PA.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Salvation Army, 660 Fisher Hill St., Sharon, PA 16146.
