Anna Rosa Petuch, S. Third St., Sharpsville, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 12:07 p.m. Friday( 8-10-12), in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 89.
She was born in Sharpsville January 8, 1923 the daughter of Pasquale Rosa (Rosati) and Maria Galloni Rosa.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated with honors from Sharpsville High School in 1941.
She was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew's Church, Sharpsville where she once belonged to their St. Olivia and Altar Rosary Societies. Anna was a former Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Teacher and church secretary for the church in years past.
She married Reno Petuch April 16, 1942 in St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Sharpsville, with Rev. George Shea as celebrant, Reno passed away August 19, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Rissanen and her husband Dr. Eugene Rissanen, Westerville, Ohio, her son James Petuch and his wife Kerri-jo Petuch, Boardman, Ohio, a grandson Aaron Petuch and his wife Tracey, Tampa, Fl; three granddaughters, Holly Ross and her husband Michael, Dublin, Oh, Amy Stringer and her husband George, Lewis Center, Ohio, Noelle Petuch, Tampa Fl; five great grandsons, Kyle, William, and Collin Stringer, Lewis Center, and Nicholas and Brandon Ross, Dublin, Ohio, her two sisters, Rose Buchanon, Hermitage, and Josephine McMath, Sharpsville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters, and brothers and sisters in law.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (8-14-12) in St. Bartholomew Church, with Rev. Marc A. Stockton, pastor as the celebrant. A brief prayer service will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home prior to processing to the church.
