Anna Guster, 96, formerly of Pymatuning Twp., passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, in the Lakes of Jefferson.

Ms. Guster was born on November 17, 1926, in Transfer, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Schmidt) Guster. She was a 1944 graduate of the former Transfer High School.

Anna retired in 1989 from Packard Electric, working 20 years between the Hubbard and Warren, OH locations. Previously, she worked at the former Spenzer Container, Reynolds.

Anna was an active member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon, where she served five terms as the President of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the German Home, and a volunteer at the Prince of Peace Center, both in Farrell.

She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking, raising chickens, bird watching, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

Anna was also a fan of polka music and liked to dance at the former Shady Grove dance hall. She and her niece, Eva Heini, liked to take part in church activities, and travel together. Anna was a kind and sweet woman, who always had a big smile for everyone.

She is survived by a nephew, Joseph Heini, Greenville; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Heini Jergler; two brothers, Balthasar and Joseph Guster, Jr.; a nephew, Michael Heini; and two nieces, Bertha and Eva Heini.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor of St. Joseph's Church, officiating.
