Ann Zachar of Sharon went home to be with her Lord at 7:25 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 96.
Ann was born August 19, 1919, in Sharon, one of six children to John and Mary (Muha) Zachar.
A lifelong city resident, she attended Sharon school.
Ann retired from J.C. Penney Co., Hermitage, where she was employed for twenty years and previously worked at the former Carlton Lehman Cleaners, also Hermitage, for 28 years.
She was a faithful, lifetime active member of St.'s. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of its Altar Guild.
Surviving are: two brothers, John Zachar, Sharon; and Edward Zachar and his wife Mildred, Niles, Ohio; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, John Zachar; a sister, Mildred Zipay; a brother-in-law, George Zipay; and a brother, Joseph Zachar and his wife Irene.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St.'s. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 699 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
