Ann Mary Sherwood, 2236 Ohio Ave., Youngstown, died peacefully at 6:30 a.m. Sunday (5-30-10) in Hospice House, Poland, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 52.

Mrs. Sherwood was born July 4, 1957, in Sharon to Henry and Frances Gallagher Borkowski.

She was a 1975 graduate of what was Kennedy Christian High School, Hermitage, and earned an associate's degree from the Shenango campus of Penn State University, Sharon.

Ann had been a counselor in her younger years.A housewife, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren.

Surviving are: her husband, James Sherwood, whom she married Aug. 16, 1986, at home; a daughter, Kira Jean Sherwood; three grandchildren, Cadon Sherwood; and Natalia and Essence Ser; and two sisters, Carol Borkowski, Hermitage; and Marcia Borkowski, Maine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her fatherand mother-in-law, Stan and Doris Sherwood.
