"Unless life is lived for others, it is not worthwhile."  These are the words of St. Teresa of Calcutta that Ann Louise Kelly lived by. She was our love and support through good and bad, all the while thinking of and helping others.

Ann "Louise" Kelly made her final act of love by passing peacefully October 14, 2017, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage, Pa., after enduring Parkinson's disease for 23 years.  Her husband, Tom, is surely thrilled that she has joined him on the big Cruise Ship in the sky!

Louise enjoyed working to help others.  She was a million dollar realtor for ReMax, where she strived to find the perfect home for her clients.  Before being a realtor, she was the director of volunteers at Delaware Valley Medical Center, where she boosted volunteerism fourfold.  She accepted every challenge with a positive determination that lead to her success.

Louise was born on February 22, 1935, in Bristol, PA, to Nicola Vincenze and Mary Giagnacova Fandozzi. She lived in Bristol until her marriage to Tom Kelly in 1953.  Louise and Tom were among the original residents of Levittown, PA, where they raised their four daughters. They were founding members of St. Michael the Archangel church in Levittown.  Louise was active in Levittown's Junewood Women's Club, through which she made lifelong friends. In 1992, they moved to Wexford, PA, to be closer to their grandchildren.  There, they became founding members of Sts. John and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Sewickley, PA, where Louise was a Eucharistic Minister and Faith Formation Leader for many years.

Ultimately, Louise and Tom moved to Hermitage, PA, in 2012 and resided at St. John XXIII Home.  They were together there until last year, when Tom passed away.  Louise was well known at St. John XXIII for being positive and upbeat, despite the challenges she faced from her advancing Parkinson's disease.

There were so many facets to Louise and a commemoration of her life would not be complete without mentioning at least a few:  She was a huge advocate of mental health.  Through example, Louise instilled a strong faith in her daughters and grandchildren, and taught them the value of being kind to others. She was devoted to The Blessed Mother and said the rosary often.  She visited the St. Therese National Shrine and St. Mary's Seminary, both in Chicago, often. Louise taught everyone she met the value of being kind to others, especially those in need. Many a new neighbor, sick friend, parishioner and priest, was the recipient of Louise's delicious meatballs, beef burgundy, chicken cacciatore, and/or her Pizzelles!  Her beautiful Christmas cookie trays were much coveted in the Levittown neighborhood and at 3M Bristol, where Tom worked.

Ann Louise is survived by her four daughters "The Kelly Girls:"  Janet (Tim) Magner, State College; Mary Jo (Gary) Lackey, Hermitage; Carolyn (John) Conversa, Elmhurst, IL; and Barbara Jean (Tom) Pistella, Libertyville, IL; 11 grandchildren: Tom and Grace Magner, Patrick, Dennis and Greg (Liz) Lackey, Maria, Julia, and Domenic Conversa, and Matthew (Lyndsay), Maggie, and John Pistella; and a great granddaughter, Arya Pistella.  Also surviving are a sister, Betty Charlton, Newtown, PA; and a sister in law, Loretta Fandozzi, of Ventnor, NJ.  Louise was also adored by many nieces and nephews.

Ann Louise was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Pasquale J. Fandozzi.

Her upbeat and positive attitude despite her ailments was much admired by the residents and staff at St. John XXIII.  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the St. John XXIII staff for all the love, heartfelt warmth, and compassion they have shown Louise, Tom, and the rest of us over the last five years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Ann Louise's memory to St. John XXIII Home Memorial Fund, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148 .

Calling hours will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass Thursday ( 10-19-17 ) in the Roncalli Center of St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday , in the Roncalli Center, with Rev. Sean P. Kerins, Director of Campus Ministry of Kennedy Catholic High School, as celebrant.

Entombment: St. Rose Mausoleum, Hermitage.
