Ann Irene Isaac, 71, of New Castle passed away peacefully Sunday (8-3-14) in Jameson Hospital following an extended illness. She was born March 22, 1943 in New Castle one of two children born to Joseph and Cecelia Peplowski Boron. A lifelong area resident she graduated from Union High School. In her early years she worked as a secretary for the former Hill View Manor, which was the former Lawrence County home for the aged. She later worked in the same capacity at both Citizens Bank and The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, both in New Castle. She was a member of St. Lucy's Church, St. Vincent DePaul Parish. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her time with her family. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Her husband Robert Nathan Isaac whom she married August 22, 1970 survives at home. She is also survived by a daughter, Leann M. Restaino and her husband Vito, Girard, Ohio, a son, Robert J. Isaac, Delmont, Pa., two grandchildren, Bella and Vito Restaino, and a brother, John Boron and his wife Vera, Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents. Calling hours will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (8-6-14) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 111 W. Falls St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday (8-7-14) at 10 a.m. in St. Lucy Church, 1 Lucymont Dr, New Castle, with Rev. Frank D. Almade, pastor as the celebrant. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
