Ann Barbara Carin of Hermitage, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, in Nugent Convalescent Home. She was 93.
She was born in Farrell August 23, 1923 the daughter of Paul and Kate Domovitz Carin. (She lived most of her life with her sister Catherine "Kay" DeBonis and family)
A lifelong area resident, she attended Farrell Schools.
She worked in downtown Sharon for the former American Laundry and later for its successor Textile Processors.
She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony's Church, Sharon.
In her spare time she loved to play bingo, listen to Polka Music, and dancing with friends at the Avon Oaks Ballroom in Struthers. Her greatest joy was being with family, especially her nieces.
She leaves a sister, Catherine "Kay" DeBonis, Hermitage, her six nieces, Dr. Donna M. DeBonis, Linda DeBonis Crandall, Laura Graves, Dr. Lana Bastin, Sherry Bacon, Barbara Lawrence and four nephews, Christopher "Kit" and Gary Carin, and Jack and Michael Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Steve, John, George, and Matthew Carin, and two sisters, Barbara Lewis and an infant Mary Carin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church Building and Grounds Fund, 804 Idaho Street, Sharon, Pa., 16146, or Emedio J. DeBonis Community Education Fund, C/O Foundation of Northwest PA – Eastern Ohio, 7 W. State St., Sharon, Pa 16146.
Calling hours: In keeping with Ann's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
A Private Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by her family on Saturday (10/22/2016) in St. Anthony's Church, Sharon, with Rev. Joseph Campbell, pastor as the celebrant.
Inurnment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Sharon.
