Ann M. Badger, 86, of New Castle, passed away on, Friday at 10:10 p.m. , June 30, 2017 in the Grove at New Wilmington.
Ann was born February 25, 1931 in New Castle to the late Joseph and Margaret Nicholson Heaney. She was a 1949 graduate of New Castle High School.
On December 1, 1951 she married Clinton "Jake" Badger, whom passed away on July 29, 2011.
She was a member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, where she also participated in the Ladies Guild.
Ann was formerly employed by Bell Telephone as an operator and also at G.C. Murphy as a sales clerk. She later worked in the office of Rep. Thomas J. Fee, as a secretary for many years. Ann was formerly employed at the Lawrence County Court House in voter registration.
Surviving are: daughter, Wendy Badger, New Castle; three sons, Joseph Badger and his wife, Ann, New Wilmington; James Badger and his wife, Joyce, New Castle; and Jeffrey Badger and his wife, Jai, Grove City; sister, Mary Smith, New Castle; nine grandchildren, Joanna, Bethanie, Lindsay, Kaitlin, James, Christina, Jesse, Justin, and Chase; and twenty great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by: brother, Joseph M. Heany; granddaughter, Cynthia; and one great granddaughter, Katlyn.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday ( 7-5-17 ) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday ( 7-6-17 ) for St. Mary's Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 by Rev. Frank Almade, pastor.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
