Angelo T. Cicero of Hermitage passed away at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, after an extended illness. He was 81. Mr. Cicero was born July 31, 1933, in Sankertown, Pa., a son of Dominick and Anna Bernard Cicero. He was a graduate of Cresson (Pa.) High School and moved to the area in the 1960s. Angelo was employed as a core maker at the former National Castings Division of Midland Ross Corp., where he was employed for 26 years. He served as a bartender at the Slovak Home in Farrell for nearly 10 years. He was an active member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville, and its Holy Name Society. Angelo enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing bocce. He also was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins and of Penn State. His wife, the former Grace "Marie" McCloskey, whom he married July 29, 1961, passed away April 12, 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Edna M. Merchant and her husband Ron L., Sharpsville; and Mary G. Cole and her husband Jeff A., Hubbard; a son, Angelo T. Cicero Jr., Hermitage; two granddaughters, Melissa Calvert and her husband Jesse, West Middlesex; and Caitlin Cole, Hubbard; and two brothers, Phil Cicero and his wife Norma Jean, Culver, Pa.; and Joe Cicero, Cresson. Besides his wife, Angelo was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Joseph Cicero, who died in infancy; and two brothers, Jim and John Cicero.
