Aneita (Dunn) Roberts, of Sharpsville, PA, passed away at 7:00 p.m. Friday (11-27-09) in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, following a 3 year courageous battle with cancer. She was 73.
Mrs. Roberts was born June 9, 1936 in Sharon a daughter of the late Michael J. and Alma Wilhelm Dunn.
Her father was a former mayor in Sharon. A lifelong area resident, she attended St. Joseph Parochial Grade School; was a 1954 graduate of Sharon High School and attended Youngstown State University.
Mrs. Roberts retired as a data processor in 1996 from First National Bank of W. PA, Hermitage, where she was employed for 20 years. A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Aneita enjoyed going to the beach, golfing and flower gardening. She also loved to travel and her most memorable trip was to Ireland. She will be remembered by many as an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. Aneita was a wonderful wife and mother and a doting grandmother who will be dearly missed by her loving family. May she rest in peace.
Surviving are: her husband at home, James L. Roberts, whom she married May 2, 1959 in the former St. Joseph Church, Sharon; two daughters, Monica (Roberts) Buchanon and her husband Tony, Denver, CO; and Brenda (Roberts) Bruno and her husband Greg, Hermitage; two sons, Brian Roberts, Virginia Beach, VA; and Dr. Michael Roberts and his wife Dr. Angela Roberts, Howland, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Sean, Conor, Ashlin, Zachery, Alexa, Jacob, Lauren and Ian; her twin sister, Bonita Niemiec and her husband John, Niles, Ohio; and four brothers, Raymond Dunn and his wife Mariam, Transfer, PA; Gerald Dunn and his wife Arlene, Sharon; Donald Dunn, Baltimore, MD; and Albert Dunn and his wife Helen, Hermitage.
Besides her parents, Aneita was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard.

Memorial Mass of Christian of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (12-01-09) in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
