Alice R. Titus, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, January 19, 2019, in St. John XXIII Home. She was 92.

Mrs. Titus was born May 26, 1926, at her home in Hermitage, a daughter of the late William F. and E. Belle (Easton) Smith.  Alice was a lifelong area resident and a 1945 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.

A homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and their home.

For the past 68 years, Alice was an active member of New Virginia United Methodist Church, Hermitage, where she enjoyed volunteering and participating in many of the church's ministries.

She also enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great granddaughter.

Her beloved husband, Irvine L. Titus, whom she married June 16, 1951, passed away August 2, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Candiotti and her husband Larry, S. Pymatuning, and Linda Greleski and her companion Jack Allen, Sr., Florida; a granddaughter, Beth Thomas and her husband Chris, Macedonia, OH; and a great granddaughter, Claire Thomas.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ralph Greleski.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of St. John XXIII Home for the exceptional care they provided over the past three years.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday (1-24-19) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be noon Thursday, in the funeral home, with Marcia Grim of New Virginia U.M .C., officiating.

Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
