Alice E. McFadden, 79, of Shenango Twp. passed away peacefully Friday morning, September 27, 2024, in Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Mrs. McFadden was born November 10, 1944, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Melvin and Mary Alice (Williams) Keller. She was a proud member of the first class to complete freshman through senior year at Shenango Sr. High School, graduating in 1962. She also graduated from the former New Castle Business School and attended Eastern Nazarene College, in Quincy, MA.

A proud veteran, Alice served in the Women's Army Corps.

She worked as a cashier at Warehouse Sales and later as private care nurse's aide. She had previously worked as a bookkeeper for several companies.

A woman of deep faith, Alice was a longtime member of Solid Rock Ministry in New Castle where she actively volunteered with the food bank. More recently, she attended First Assembly of God in Neshannock Twp. Alice also volunteered at Avalon Nursing Home for many years.

An exceptional cook and baker, she also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Her greatest joys in life were praising Jesus and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Her husband, Daniel J. McFadden, whom she married March 20, 1971, preceded her in death on January 5, 2007.
Alice was a kind and endlessly generous woman who will be dearly missed.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann D'Andrea (Gregory), of Shenango Twp.; a sister, Melba Keller, of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Alaina and Daniel D'Andrea.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Ronald Keller.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday (10-2-24)in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday (10-3-24), in the funeral home, with Rev. Steve DeSantis, officiating.

Interment: Mt. Herman Union Cemetery, New Castle.
