Alfred E. Belgie, New Bedford, PA, formerly of Hopewell Twp., PA, passed away at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015, in his residence, following a brief bout with cancer. He was 82. Mr. Belgie was born July 24, 1933, in Imperial, PA, a son of Charles and Blanche Bernard Belgie. He was a 1952 graduate of Moon Twp. (PA) High School. Al owned and operated Weber Electric, Ambridge, PA, for more than twenty years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of New Bedford (PA) Evangelical Presbyterian Church. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served during the Korean War. Al enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife. His wife, the former Norma Anderson, whom he married September 25, 1954, passed away January 30, 2015. Surviving are: two daughters, Cindy Lynn Petroski and her husband Joe, Stafford, VA; and Lori Lynn Belgie, Erie, PA; a brother, Charles Belgie, Moon Twp.; a granddaughter, Ashley North, Fredericksburg, VA; and four great grandchildren, Kylie, Addison, Lorilei and Trenton North; . Besides his wife, Al was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Faye Dunmire and Dorothy Della; and a granddaughter, Heidi Grace. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Men's Ministry, in care of New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 225, New Bedford, PA 16140. Services: Funeral service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, in the New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 151 Woodland Dr., Pulaski, PA, with Rev. Douglas Runyan, pastor, officiating. Burial: Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.
