Alec P. Mylan, 83, of Hermitage, previously North Fort Myers, FL, and Poland, OH, passed away Friday morning, June 13, 2025, in his home.

Mr. Mylan was born August 19, 1941, in Cleveland, a son of the late Jack and Winifred (Perrott) Mylan. He was a graduate of Nordonia High School, Macedonia, OH. He then attended Malone College, Canton, OH, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Alec retired from General Motors after 43 years of employment, starting as a clerk in the press room and working his way up to General Supervisor of the press room.

He was a longtime member of Poland Presbyterian Church, Poland, OH, where he served as an elder in the church.

As a boy, Alec was a member of the Order of the Arrow, which is an honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. As an adult, while in Cleveland, Alec was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #2606, Punta Gorda, FL.

An avid outdoorsman, Alec enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, boating, and skiing. He enjoyed watching car racing, especially Tony Stewart, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Alec is survived by his wife, the former Sally Treisch, whom he married July 15, 1961; two daughters, Stephanie Chuirazzi and her husband, David, Pittsburgh, and Stacey Watt and her fiancé, Jon Connor, Cleveland; a sister, Laurie Antal and her husband Jim, San Juan Capistrano, CA; a brother-in-law, John Herchick, Solon; four grandsons, Stephen Chuirazzi, Andrew Chuirazzi, Mark Chuirazzi, and Jorden Watt; and one granddaughter, Marley Watt.

In addition to his parents, Alec was preceded in death by a sister, Michele Herchick.

Family visitation will be at 11 a.m. until the beginning of the memorial service at noon on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon, Pa.
