Albert Rogan of Hermitage passed away at 8:26 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health Systems. He was 87.
Mr. Rogan was born October 3, 1924 in Farrell a son of George and Elizabeth Baran Rogan.
He was a 1942 graduate of Farrell High School. Following high school, Albert enlisted in the Merchant Marines and later enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served in World War II and the Korean War.
Albert retired after many years of employment from the former Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Electric Corp. where he was a Turret Truck operator.
His wife, Lillian 'Ruth' Miller Rogan, whom he married September 3, 1948, passed away in 1983.
Mr. Rogan was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage. He also was a member of the Farrell VFW Post 5286 and the Wheatland American Legion Post 432. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bus trips with his high school classmates and the Westinghouse Retirees. Most importantly he loved his family and the activities that they did together, he especially enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren.
Surviving are: a daughter, Debra 'Debby' Schall of West Middlesex, PA; a sister, Margaret Fain of Greenville; 2 grandchildren, Raelynn and her husband Jearld Broadway and Jennifer and her husband Bruce Schlegel all of West Middlesex, PA; 6 great grandchildren, Kristopher & Cierra Broadway, Kaitlyn Violi, Emily, Tyler and Joseph Schlegel.
In addition to his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Rogan; 3 sisters, Helen Mihoc, Irene Rogan, and Anna Rivella; a brother, George Rogan; He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ray Allen Schall.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Disabled Veterans National Foundation, 1020 19th St NW, Suite 475 Washington, DC 20036.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the church.
Interment: Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, with military honor's rendered by the Farrell VFW Honor Guard and assisted by the West Middlesex VFW and the Wheatland American Legion Honor Guard.
