Albert A. Kirkland, 67, of Wheatland, passed away Monday afternoon, February 11, 2019, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Kirkland was born October 15, 1951, in New Castle, a son of the late George H. and Bernice (Fleeger) Kirkland. He attended Cochranton and Sharon High Schools.

Al was employed as a truck driver for 16 years by the former Preston Trucking Co., Shenango Twp.  He was a member of the Teamsters Local #261, New Castle, for 21 years.

Al enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, the former Anna M. DiMario, whom he married January 15, 1970.

Also surviving are a daughter, Malissa A. Rhoades and her husband Douglas, of Hartstown, PA; two sons, Justin A. Kirkland and his wife Randi, of Fredrick, MD, and Sean M. Kirkland and his wife Anna, of Hermitage; a brother, George H. Kirkland and his wife Sherry, of DE; five grandchildren, Kameron and Lauren Ganje, and Sean, Ashton and Riley Kirkland; and two step-grandchildren, Jacob and Elijah Rhoades.

He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Kirkland; and his mother, Bernice Kirkland Moore.

Calling hours will be 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday (02/17/2019) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State Street, Sharon.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Donald Hake, Officiating.
