Alana Justine Muffly, 73, of Sharon, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Clepper Manor.

Mrs. Muffly was born on April 15, 1951, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Dominic and Esther Leona (Victor) Carucci. She was a 1969 graduate of Mercer High School.

She was employed as a secretary at Sharon Regional Medical Center for nearly 40 years. Alana loved spending time with her work girlfriends, especially when they would go on cruises together.

Her husband, Donald Lee Muffly, whom she married in 1974, passed away on June 10, 2001.

Alana lived a good life. She looked forward to hosting parties, playing board games and cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a passion for wallpapering and served as a Boy Scout leader when her son was young.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Comninos and her husband Brian, Sharon; a son, Scott Muffly, Alliance, OH; and four grandchildren, Evan, Patrick Isabella and Ethan. Also surviving are three sisters, Debbie Smith (Mike), Surprise, AZ, Cheryl Schuster (Jerry), Sharon, and Tina McEwen (Joe), Mercer; two brothers, James Carucci, Sr., Clark, PA, and Vincent Carucci (Sue), Roseville, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alana was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Pendel; and a sister-in-law, Laurie (Garrett) Carucci.
