Adele Zalac, formerly of Farrell and Sharon, passed away at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, in Park Vista Retirement Community of Youngstown, Ohio. She was 92.
Mrs. Zalac was born June 24, 1919 in Brookfield a daughter of the late Nicolae and Mary Kouros Christie.
She was a 1937 graduate of Farrell High School and was a WAC during World War II. She also worked at the Sharon Steel Corporation.
Her husband, Frank Zalac, whom she married in 1954, is deceased. They had no children.
Mrs. Zalac enjoyed sewing, revamping old clothes and spending time with family.
Mrs. Zalac is survived by a sister, Eleanor Maschgan, Hendersen, Nevada; 6 nieces and nephews; as well as great and great great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Adele was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Peter Christie; a sister, Irene Donahue; and a nephew, Nicholas Christie.
