A. Claire Churchill, 90, of Neshannock Twp. passed away Thursday evening February 16, 2017 in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mrs. Churchill was born February 7, 1927, in New Castle, to the late William and Margaret Murphy Kelly.

Her husband of nearly 56 years and love of her life, Herbert Churchill, whom she married October 27, 1951, preceded her in death on August 18, 2007.

She worked side by side with her husband Herb for many years as a bookkeeper at Moravia Warehouse.

A very devout Catholic, she was an active member of St. Camillus de Lellis Church.

Claire loved having breakfast at Tanners Restaurant where she enjoyed the company of both her friends and the staff.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are: three sons, Robert E. Churchill and his wife, Susan, of New Castle; Herbert S. Churchill and his wife, Georgiana, of Avon, OH; and Jeffrey Churchill and his wife, Kimberly, of North Huntingdon, PA; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Claire was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Bales; four sisters, Margaret Baxter; Catherine Kelly; Mary Dutzer; and Delores Kelly; and a brother, William Kelly.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday (2-20-17) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (2-21-17) for St. Camillus de Lellis Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Michael Peck, pastor.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
